Message from The Principal

Mr. Rauiri Maarman

As The Bridge Lonehill's principal, I would like to stress how crucial it is to meet the needs of our neurodiverse kids. We must establish a welcoming environment where each student feels appreciated and supported. It is essential to acknowledge and consider the various learning styles and difficulties that neurodiverse students face. Our tailored offering provides our students with the necessary support.

We are dedicated to customising our curriculum, instructional strategies, and educational resources to suit their specific needs. Using individualised plans and specific techniques, we hope to provide our neurodiverse students with the knowledge and assistance they need to succeed. Accepting neurodiversity promotes a culture of empathy, tolerance, and acceptance of differences, in addition to improving academic performance. This helps our children prepare for a more inclusive society outside the classroom.

We value a holistic approach to wellness and health to support our neurodiverse student body best.

Extra curricular

Participating in the school's extra-curricular programme is mandatory to ensure each child is given the opportunity to develop holistically. Students are required to participate in at least one sport or one cultural activity per term.

The programme is designed in such a way that a wide variety of interests are accommodated.

Our cultural activities are as follows

Our Grade 4-10 students (in 2023, and up to grade 12 in 2025) will have the opportunity to join clubs or become leaders in the Robotics and Coding and Science and Maths clubs, or possibly join the Choir which is reserved for grades 4-10 (although if a younger child wishes to join the choir, they would be welcome to do so). However, a child from grade 1-3 would need to commit to the Choir group and attend all sessions.
